High blood pressure causes damage of the arteries in the heart, kidneys and other organs in the body. It can eventually result in a heart attack, kidney failure, heart failure, stroke and other health issues. Moreover, the high blood pressure treatments are aggressive and invasive.
Recent studies have revealed that each person with high blood pressure cannot be treated in the same way. For instance, a 50-year-old person cannot receive the same treatment as an 80-year-old.
Diagnosis of high blood pressure
According to medical experts, if your blood pressure is below 120/80 mm Hg when you are 20, you should do some pressure screening every second year.

If your systolic pressure is 180 or higher or the diastolic is 110 or higher, take your blood pressure again after a few minutes.
If it remains high, seek treatment immediately for a hypertensive crisis.
