Colds and sinus infection can cause nasal congestion. Breathing difficulties and blocked nasal passages can be triggered by many different viral and bacterial infections.

A nasal congestion usually passes in one week. However, you can solve it much faster, in just 20 seconds, using the thumb and the tongue only.

The sinus congestion treatment

Place the thumb between your eyebrows and push the tongue against the roof of the mouth.

Apply pressure with your thumb for 20 seconds and the sinuses will begin to drain.

The vertical bone within your nasal cavity is called the Vomer bone. This technique allows this bone to move back and forth. This allows the sinuses to drain and the congestion is eased.

Nasal saline rinse

Oregano oil

Adding oregano oil to your food or steaming it and inhaling it will ease the sinus congestion. On the other hand, this oil is expensive and difficult to obtain.

Apple cider vinegar

Take 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar three times a day. You can also mix 2 tablespoons of the vinegar with 1 tablespoon of honey and 8 ounces of water. You can inhale the vapors of boiling half a cup of the vinegar and half a cup of water as well. Keep your eyes and mouth closed.
