Life truly does begin at forty. Until then, you are just doing research – C.G. Jung

To all women older than 40: Sit back and nod.

To all women who are under the age of 40: Sit back and listen well.

To all men: Sit back and accept the reality.

This is a quote from Andy Rooney’s “60 Minutes” from CBS.

Andy Rooney says:

The older I am, the more I respect women over forty. Here are a few reasons:

A woman over 40 will never wake up in the middle of the night to ask you, “What are you thinking about right now?” … she just does not care.

When a woman over 40 doesn’t want to watch a game, she won’t sit next to you whining. She will have fun doing something else, something she enjoys. And most of them will do something much more interesting than watching a game.

A woman older than 40 knows herself enough to know who she is, what she wants and who she wants. Only a small number of women older than 40 are interested in what people think about them. Women older than 40 radiate with pride.

She will rarely make a scene at a social event. But if you deserve it, she will not hesitate to punish you.

With years women become visible. Women older than 40 don’t need to talk about what you’ve done – she already knows! A woman over 40 looks great with bright red lipstick, which is not necessarily true for most of the younger women.
